Foris Telecom - A Fore Group Company

Benefits

Benefits offered to both our partners and subscribers of our Triple and Quadra Play (Voice, Data and Video using Mobility) are:

Speed

We offer connectivity speeds that typically exceed cellular networks and are competitive with wireline broadband offerings.

Simplicity

Our services are easy to acquire and use and typically require no software or professional installation.

Portability

Unlike wired networks, our customers can access our network from anywhere within our coverage area.

Reliability

We use licensed radio frequencies, or spectrum, that enable us to minimize interference that is common when using certain wireless networks that use unlicensed or shared radio frequencies.

Clean

No need for messy (drilling, cutting holes etc’) infrastructure work to deploy.  Does not interfere with day-to-day activities.

Affordability

Enables high-end services (VOIP, Video conferencing, downloading etc) with high bandwidth (~ 1Mbps) at affordable prices.

Furthermore, we offer a value proposition that is competitive, while recognizing the unique benefits of our service offerings.

Accessibility

Able to cover even remote and rural locations easily, and helps “Bridge the Digital divide" in these locations.

Competitive Strengths

Our business is characterized by the following competitive strengths

Differentiated Services

We offer our subscribers competitively priced services that offer a combination of speed, simplicity, portability and reliability. We believe that DSL, cable and cellular networks do not deliver all of these characteristics in a single service offering.

We are also able to deliver Triple-play services such: QoS for VoIP, High data rates data and IPTV to our subscribers.

Attractive Spectrum Position

We use licensed spectrum, which allows us to minimize the interference common to many networks that use unlicensed spectrum, including WiFi networks. The supply of licensed spectrum is limited, creating significant barriers to entry for competing wireless services. Foris plans to have the largest spectrum position in the 2.5 GHz (2495-2690 MHz) band in 3rd world countries, and continue to acquire spectrum in markets we believe can use our services.

Efficient Economic Model and Cost Effectiveness

Developed equipment is considerably cheaper - fewer base stations and backhaul, simple RF planning, shorter towers and faster CPE install times.  Further, because our services are wireless there is no need for expensive infrastructure. Once our network is deployed, we are typically able to leverage our fixed costs over an increasing number of subscribers.

Experienced Management

Known as a pioneer and leader in the global wireless communications industry, Fore-Group has been an active entrepreneur, operator and investor within the industry for over 20 years. The company’s management team consists of a core group of senior executives, with global experience that includes: Africa, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, North America and Asia.

Strong Strategic Relationships

Foris has developed strategic relationships with industry leaders. The group have ownership and majority stakes in equipment providers (Runcom, InspiAir Co. and Ymax Telecom). These strategic relationships place us in an advantageous position when accessing equipment, deployment of mobile WiMAX and development of other value added services, such as VoIP telephony.
